Tournament Rules

  1. Teams will be separated into two equal teams: Team Blue & Team Silver. Each team will consist of an equal number of players and will be selected by a team captain from Team Blue & Team Silver.
  2. There will be two rounds of golf, one round on Friday and one round on Saturday. Both days of golf will be a shotgun start, meaning every foursome will tee off at the same time, but on different tees, allowing everyone to finish simultaneously.
  3. Each foursome will include 2 members of Team Blue and 2 members of Team Silver. Scoring will be kept by one member from each team and recorded into an official golf scoring app called “Squabbit” – please be sure to download and setup this app prior to arrival. We will share details on joining the tournament group beforehand.
  4. Both rounds of golf will play a Scramble format. A scramble format involves 2-person teams where each player on the team hits a tee shot, and then the players decide which shot they like better. The two players then play from that spot. The person whose shot was not taken picks up their ball and moves it to within one club length of the selected spot. This process continues with each shot until that hole is completed.
  5. After each hole, the designated scorekeeper records the score into Squabbit. One point is awarded to the team with the lowest score. 1/2 point is awarded if the hole ends in a tie.
  6. At the end of the 2nd round of golf, the team with the highest points is declared the winner of the Blue & Silver Open 2025.
  7. There will be one hole designated as the Closest to the Pin challenge and one hole designated as the Longest Drive Challenge hole. These holes will be predetermined and announced before game play. Winning these challenges does not impact the team scoring.
  8. Additionally, a Putting Challenge will also be held after the 2nd Round of golf is completed.
